Winter season is the coldest season of the year. It falls  in  December  and ends in  March.   It lies between the rainy season and the spring season. Days are shorter and nights are longer in winter season. Fog covers the sky during winter season making the weather colder. People wear woolen clothes to protect them from cold. Winter season is the best season for picnic, tours and outings.  During winter sunlight is very mild  and light warm. Winter season is a season of healthy fruits and green leafy vegetables such as grapes, orange, pineapple, carrot, cabbage, beetroot, turnips, cauliflower, radish etc. Children enjoy holidays for Christmas, Santa Claus and New year. Winter season is problematic for poor people because they lack good homes to prevent them from the cold.

Winter season refers to the coldest phase of the year. Winter season comes after autumn season and finishes before spring. December and January is the coldest month of the season. Atmospheric temperature becomes very low, cold winds blow in high speed, day becomes short and night becomes long, etc. Fog and mist are very common in winter. At this time, we often sit by fire for warmth. It is the season of healthy fruits and green leafy vegetables. In this season people prefer hot tea and coffee. There becomes winter vacation in the schools for students in the peak winter days. Winter season creates some problems too for the poor people as they have no or less warm clothes and proper home. Many birds and animals hibernate in the winter season due to extreme cold conditions.

Winter is the coldest season of the year. It rules over the months of December and January. Winter lies from Diwali festival (start of winter) till Holi festival (end of winter). We wear woolen clothes to keep ourselves warm. A sip of hot coffee in the morning gives us pleasurable experience. Winter season brings about short days and longer nights with low temperature compared to other seasons. Sometimes, we do not see sunlight because of the fog in the sky. Cold wind blows from the north and the people get idle. They make fire and sit around it.  In winter season we get varieties of fruits and vegetables. Festivals like Basant Panchmi and Christmas are celebrated in this season. Winter season is an ideal season for tours and travels to hilly regions. Winter season is quite difficult season for everyone especially poor people because of lack of woolen clothes and proper home. In schools, winter holidays are announced for about 10 to 15 days.
